I want to thank everyone for visiting my blog. However, it has come to my attention that several of my readers have attempted to comment on my posts and have been unsuccessful. There are so many gremlins that scamper around the blogosphere and I am trying to find them and dispose of the little rascals. Hopefully now when you go to Post a Comment -scroll down to Name/URL and you can comment under your name without logging in under an account. Also check that you are not a robot - yes you read correctly. Please try again - I can't wait to hear from you. New posts coming soon.

A Few of my Favorite Things
I thought every so often I would share with my readers some of my favorite things. They may be new or old but things I really like.
I am totally in love with these drinks - Sparkling Ice. They have zero calories and zero sugar. These run $1.00 just about everywhere and Brookshires has a good selection. My favorite is coconut pineapple but I also love cherry limeade and black raspberry. Orange mango and pomegranate blueberry are also favorites. I do not care much for the different flavor lemonades because the flavor is not as intense. These are naturally flavored sparkling mountain spring water. Also contains vitamins and antioxidants. I love to put mine in the freezer and let it get slushy. A great beverage on a hot day.
My brother-in-law Bim told me about this product several years ago and I am never without it. This is Fiesta Brand Extra Fancy Fajita Seasoning. This is my go to seasoning for EVERYTHING. Great on all beef, chicken, and pork. Perfect blend of spices.
I find great treasures in Dollar Tree but unfortunately the store in my town is messy, and the shelves never seem stocked. Just boxes everywhere. Anyway, I love these little convo stickers that are made for chalk - they are great for labeling things. ( Great for a child's room) Dollar Tree offers some nice inexpensive organizational items.
Thought I would share a nice little inexpensive shelf that can be found at Family Dollar for $6.00. It is only 14" long and has 3 hooks. It's a solid little shelf for a small area. It is sold in white and black. I bought the white and was surprised that it was more gray white than a snow white. I might paint mine but am liking it for now. See the shelf below which is in my bathroom.
Please share with me some of your favorite items and give me some feedback on my blog. I really do want to hear from all of my readers. Thanks!

Cane River Green Market
The Cane River Green Market is held every Saturday from 8 till 12. Lovely fruit and vegetables from local farms are for sale. Still early but lots of good food coming our way. There are some craft booths as well as homemade jellies, jams, salsas, and more. Usually there is some musical entertainment which provides a simple, rustic atmosphere.
I LOVE Mayhaw jelly!
Beautiful Red Tomatoes!
Nice!
Beautiful handmade soaps.
Love the name of this booth.....
Veggies everywhere.
Oh Yeah!
I love the idea of a Community Table where you can sell even a small amount of food you grow in your home garden or windowsill.
Next time you are out and about on a Saturday morning, visit the Cane River Green Market. I really believe we should support local food and growers. Happy eating!

Water Water Everywhere
Michael and I visited the J. Bennett Johnston Waterway Project Visitor's Center today to check out the Red River. The volunteer for the center indicated the river had crested at 42 feet and was down a foot as of today. Enjoy the photos - the little Red looks like the big Red!
The observation deck
Notice the swift current.
This is a river scene toward the Port of Natchitoches.
If you have not visited the visitor's center I highly recommend a visit. Great indoor displays of the area and lovely outdoors area with picnic area and lovely rocking chairs. Check it out and let me know about your experience.

A Fresh New Blog
Well, it has been awhile but I have decided to start a new blog with fresh new ideas. This blog will consist of photography, tips on favorite items and where I bought them, gardening, food, book reviews, Etsy, as well as personal musing. I will share family stories and comment on current events. I will discuss movies, music, and crafts. I really would love for all my old friends, new friends, and family to be interactive and leave comments that can be shared with all the readers. I would also like to know what the world looks like out your screen door.I plan to post a minimum of 3 times a week - more if time permits. ( Both flower pictures were taken on my patio several days ago). Enjoy!
